On the day of the surgery
If your surgery is performed under GENERAL ANAESTHESIA, you should have nothing to eat or drink before the procedure.
You must not eat for at least six hours before your surgery. Food eaten before the procedure can cause a life-threatening situation during surgery.
You must not drink for at least 4 hours before your surgery. You are allowed to drink 200 ml of water 4 hours before your surgery.
Avoid consuming alcohol in the 24 hours leading up to your visit to the hospital because alcohol and medications can have life-threatening interactions.
Do not smoke before your surgery.
For your convenience, we recommend spending the night after the surgery at our clinic.
Please note! Due to impaired reactions, you are not allowed to drive a car or operate machinery for 24 hours after anaesthesia (even short-term).
After your surgery do not leave the clinic alone. Instead of calling a taxi, we highly recommend using the help of a good friend or a trusted helper who has a car.
If at all possible, spend the first few post-operative days and nights in the company of a close person. A sense of security and peace of mind help with the recovery process!

Post-operative visits
The number of post-operative visits depends on the specific procedure. The majority of patients need to have their wounds dressed 24 hours after the procedure, sometimes later. Also, it is important for us to know that you are recovering well and without any complications.
